TEARS OF THE HEART

Every time I try to make it work its always something new
No matter what I say, you just never agree with nothing I ever do
Its either a no answer, an excuse or a killer blank stare
How am I suppose to feel? And you expect me to believe that you really do care
I know you can't be serious, and don't give me that excuse about fear
You not changing your ways but you want me to change mine is definitely no fair
Well if you waiting on me, then I'm gonna be waiting on you too
I'm not gonna change either until you change too boo
Last time I checked, "Two Can Play This Game" was a Vivica Fox movie
I want to take the lead but somehow I'm just scared that you're gonna screw me
Why can't we just compromise, sacrifice: you remember that's how you wooed me
Relive the spontaneity, the impromptu, I'm not with the setting date and times just for you to do me
Do you remember the niceness in the beginning that together we shared
The respect we had for one another, we didn't say some things just so feelings were spared
What ever happened to making time for each other because we wanted to be together
It didn't matter if it was sunny, raining or snowing, we didn't care about the weather
As time prolonged and we got to know each other better
Why is it that we somehow seem to falter instead of getting stronger
Is it because we listen to friends and develop that attitude of I can't bother
Or is it because we realize that, damn, I can't take you home to meet my mother
Whatever it is we have to keep it real and remember when living for two we can't pretend
We can't lead another on, push one away because a broken heart is hard to mend
All I really want is for you to be my lover and for you to be my friend
My companion, my right hand, the one who I can always count on and depend

FOLLOW YOUR HEART (EMOTIONS #3)

What is it about us that make us think that we will always make the right decisions?
We are not prophets, we are not mind readers and we sure can’t read visions
When someone opens up and tells us that you’re the one they have been looking for
The one who they want to care for, share life with and walk around to open the car door
Why is it that when people finally put their feelings out there, we take it for granted?
Is it me or is it the way how we all think and behave, well some of us call it frontin
Do we really consider their feelings or are we selfish in the way that we think about others
How do we know its genuine, do we cloud our minds with disbelief until it clutters
Don’t get me wrong, in life we have to make decisions that make us happy
We don’t want to make hastily decisions that’s gonna lead to regret and future animosity
But how can we go on without recognizing that someone is giving out real genuine admiration
And continue to walk by and ignore them like a beggar at the top of the train station
This goes for guys and females who knows there is someone pursuing you
And you have done your research, background check and realize that the person is really true
But you still hold back because of this game we love to play of cat and mouse
Where knowing that you’re the one being chased just leaves you aroused
But it’s funny, real funny when that chaser realize that all their fruitful labor is going in vain
And decides to leave and move on to something better, and all you will be left with is shame
Don’t we realize that love is not a game but a feeling inside that we retain
And we have to honor it when the feeling is definitely calling our name
If you find that there is someone out there who is truthfully appreciating your existence
Who makes you feel the same please don’t leave them hanging on the back fence
Take initiative and show them that you care for them as much as they do
Because, life is not really guaranteed, so isn’t it worth being with someone true
