POETRY 30/30 - GREATNESS!!!!!!!

GREATNESS!!!!!!!

Ever since I was small I always felt I'd be destined for greatness

I used to watch television a lot and thought it was easy to attain

And as I got older, I somewhat feel that all I've accomplished is lateness

Struggling to find peace and joy because I've suffered a lot of pain

My mom keeps telling me, remember what I taught you about meekness

There is always sunshine after the storm and after the rain

But no matter how hard I try to find the end of the tunnel all I see is bleekness

Now that light I've been looking for has only become a desire burning like a flame

Never had a lot to be proud about, never heard keep up the good job

Life sometimes is like a round about, just keep spinning you like a door knob

All I'm used to in life is having doubts, second guessing my own decisions

Been thirsty for prestige but been in mental droughts, now wrong moves cut like an incision

I keep telling myself to stay strong, this will get better, just gotta stay focus

Obstacles I must overcome, gotta be a trend setter, swarm my mind with positive thoughts like a locust

Its hard for a lot of us to achieve what we want due to self inflicted  pressure

Goals not met on time, tend to deter our route like a forecast with bad weather

Nevertheless being humbled and grounded can make the way much more undemanding

Greatness is always at our fingertips so begin embarking
