Whats the rave, whats the craze, I wanna be down, where to go 

Can I have your number sweetheart? She said no, but said do you have Oovoo 

Didn’t have one but I had something similar, so I told her I got Skype 

She was like nah Oovoo is better so I guess you really not my type 

Is she serious, I'm thinking to myself like you judge a man by the media outlet he chooses 

Nah she can’t be real, her generator box must be missing a few fuses 

Met another girl conversation went great so I went in for the win 

So I said baby can I have your mathematics, she saw my blackberry and said nah but you could have my BBM pin 

I'm thinking to myself now like is my voice not charming enough or is this the new trend 

Nobody wants to talk on the phone no more, one of the reasons that tend to make relationships end 

Not for nothing I left it alone and saw a nice and sweet young lady, I kinda judged from her look 

Chatted her up for a while, asked her for her digits, and guess what, she asked me if I had Facebook 

This has to be some final destination type of ish, so in my mind I'm saying let me just quit her 

But before I could even answer, she showed me her timeline and said you should follow me on twitter 

Couldn’t help but laugh, you should have seen the smirk on my face, right before she pulled my hand 

She said you’re cute and you’re handsome, how about you take a picture with me for my Instagram 

I hate to say this but its like we’re all caught up with fun applications and social networks 

That it has lowered the value of some of our personal stocks and even some of our self worth 

I may be a bit old fashioned but I'm down with all the new trends and I know whats going on 

But sometimes and I'm guilty of this too, we don’t have to tell the world what kind of underwear we have on 

Too much of us let these new found social media platforms impact our way of life drastically
