I WANNA KNOW!!!!!!!

I wanna know why we all got haters, why we hardly show love

Why we don’t hug anymore, everybody push and shove

I wanna know why we argue all the time, why we fuss and why we fight

Why we kill each other every day and make it hard for us to walk the streets at night

I wanna know why we tell lies so much, is there no value in the truth

Why liars talk the most and the loudest, and always in your ear like a blue tooth

I wanna know why so much teenage girls are getting pregnant so easily

Why we don’t see that Teen Mom is also helping to perpetuate it on MTV

I wanna know why it takes public outcry in order to serve justice

What if we didn’t come together, would an innocent life be taken without notice?

I wanna know why we building more prisons and closing more schools

Why we don’t realize that the shit that the government do is like they take us for fools

I wanna know why we subject ourselves to ridicule by doing things that we are not

Why we follow the in crowd, get blinded by fad just because others say it’s hot

I wanna know why there are still so many dead beat dads around

Why no matter how much women search, a really good man still can’t be found

I wanna know why women these days feel like they can’t treat their man like a King

Why they feel like having a career and also being domesticated is a terrible thing
I wanna know why so many people keep telling me I'm not gonna make it
Why my own friends take shots at me, but when they see me they fake it

I wanna know why African Americans can’t come together like all other races

Why when we see one of our people make it we wish for them to fall on their faces

I wanna know why nobody from the “hood” never ever wins the lottery

Why it’s always some old lady from the suburbs who spends her day making pottery

I wanna know a lot of things but it seems as if I can’t get a legit answer

I wanna know why we haven’t found the cure for AIDS and for cancer

I wanna know why people in relationships take advice from single people
They don't have a companion for themselves so all they do is needle
I really wanna know why we all act liked we are not blessed from head to toe

There are so many thoughts in my mind that I just really wanna know
