FALL POETRY: AMBITION

AMBITION!!!!!!!

I’ve got so much ambition, I’m thankful that I’m living
Sometimes I tell God you put me in a fiery kitchen
Feeling out of commission, can’t eat signs of malnutrition
Somehow I have to find the strength to continue life’s expedition
My pride needs submission, because all I yearn is recognition
Nobody is perfect but at times people think you’re a damn magician
Every day is a combat mission, fighting to stay ahead of the competition
Loved by many, hated by few, so you got to watch out for the opposition
But I got a proposition, how about we break tradition
Let’s stop worrying about what people say because most the times they fake like politicians
Some people love auditions, for a crowd they’ll put on an exhibition
You don’t want them around because they are not even worth the price of your school tuition
They try to play you like musicians, dress to kill, mortician condition
They up to no good like a car with an engine but have a bad transmission
You got to show some strong attrition, mind is made of will power composition
So when life comes at your old demons, you’re like no way I’m a new edition
Got to keep making transitions, no stagnation just continuous upward position
Because in the end, you control your own destiny and then you can rejoice in constant jubilation
