Im realizing how painful life is
And the more I embrace it, I end up wearing life bandages
The things and people we love sometimes hurt us the most
They make us laugh and smile but sometimes don't even recognize us like a ghost
They kill the soul with back chatter and denounce the third person
And just leaves you wondering if life is going to get better or just start to worsten
We try to hold back the tears not to show the burden on our shoulders
But the more and more we try, the problem just get bigger than two boulders
We continuously ask ourselves why is this happening to me and what did I do
We sit down to try and find a solution but can't find a hint or a clue
The problems we face seem so unresolvable and sometimes tend to drown us
And all the nah-sayers, haters, wannabees and doubters think its the perfect time to clown us
Now we are extremely busy seeking an outlet where we can vent away all our emotions
Trying to be like sand on the beach, so we can wash them all away by the oceans
You start to feel like no one cares or no one understands whats going on
And start to feel like you're not worthwhile like a chess board with only one pawn
But as we all know cuts heal and the bandages eventually get pulled away
And as painful as life can be, tomorrow can be a better day
Don't ever get fooled and think that people is gonna always love you
Because a name don't make a family, its defined by what people do to you
So life may come at us with darts, shots and heavyweight blows
But what makes you who you are is the faith and determination that one shows
So never give up and think that you cannot endure through these strains
Because life was not made of only happiness, its also filled with pains
We just have to bear it and suffer but like all pain, it eventually subside
Even though life is painful, still embrace it and don't you run away and hide
The cuts and bruises of life sometimes leave scars that let us remember the pain
But it doesnt only show what we went through but what we overcame
So I will stand firm in belief, because I know life will get better
And I will always keep hope so that I never become a quitter
I will meet life head on and take on life challenges
Because life painful cuts and bruises get healed after you take away the bandages

Jamaica has sign Christopher "Dudus" Coke Extradition to the U.S. 'What does this mean for the country?"

A warrant for the arrest of Tivoli Gardens strongman, Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke was signed this morning by a Resident Magistrate, the Observer has learnt.
The warrant gives the police Fugitive Apprehension Team the power to collar Coke who is wanted in the United States on drug and gun running charges.
Last night Prime Minister Bruce Golding announced that the authority to proceed with the extradition of Coke would be signed by Justice Minister and Attorney General Dorothy Lightbourne.
The US State Department has since August last year requested that the Jamaican government extradite Coke, who they describe as a major trans-national narcotic kingpin.
Coke’s stronghold of Tivoli Gardens and Denham in West Kingston has been barricaded by his supporters who say they fear an invasion from the security forces.




A deeply apologetic Prime Minister Bruce Golding tonight announced that Justice Minister Dorothy Lightbourne will sign the authority for extradition proceedings to commence against Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke who is wanted by the United States to face gun- and drug-running charges.
In an address to the nation a short while ago, Golding begged the nation to forgive him for dragging out the extradition issue and for his involvement in the matter.
"The Minister of Justice will sign the authorisation for the extradition process to commence," Golding said.
Golding's head has been on the chopping block since last Tuesday's announcement in Parliament that he had personally sanctioned his party's decision to seek the assistance of United States law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips to negotiate with the Barack Obama administration in the contentious extradition matter.
Calls from all sectors of society for Golding to resign led him to rally his party's top brass to high level talks on the weekend.
"In hindsight the party should have never got involved in the way it did," he said in tonight's broadcast. "I must accept responsibility for it and the way it was handled and I must express my remorse. I ask for your forgiveness."

Helter Skelter Mad Cobra (Ewart Brown) was admitted to the Spanish Town Hospital of Jamaica after the D.J took a gunshot in his right shoulder. Reportedly, the bullet was fired at Mad Cobra by a gunman on Tuesday near the Braeton Seventh Day Adventist church of Hellshire Main road.

The cops have been questioning each and every body who was present during the incident. With the news of Mad Cobra being shot, the police cars invaded the scene along with the forensic crew who surveyed the whole area looking out for evidence. Reportedly, this has been the second instance in a row where an entertainer has been shot after O’Neil Edwards who also became the victim of a similar shooting attempt recently. Mad Cobra rose to fame as an entertainer after “Flex,” released in the year 1992, became the double platinum album in the market.

Dr. Andrew Wheatley who happens to be the Mayor of Spanish Town rushed to the hospital along with the Entertainment Minister Olivia Babsy Grange and the minister’s adviser Clifton Dillon. They told the media that there are deeply shocked at the news of Mad Cobra being shot. The Minister further added that Mad Cobra will be treated with special care at the hospital and he shall be granted police protection. The doctors are still examining Mad Cobra and they say that the bullet did went deep into the shoulder which makes it a difficult situation for him. The whole entertainment industry flocked together at the hospital as the news of Mad Cobra being shot reached their ears. REMEMBERING AN ICON - LENA HORNE DIES AT 92

Famous singer and performer, Lena Horne, died May 9, 2010 in New York at the age of 92. Her son-in-law, Kevin Buckley released that Ms. Horne died at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Sunday night. The multi-talented woman paved the way for other black women in Hollywood.

Born Lena Calhoun Horne on June 30, 1917 in Brooklyn, Lena Horne shared a life of triumphs and tribulations. As a child, she was often tormented for her light skin but at the young age of 2, she became the cover girl for the “National Association for the Advancement of Colored People”. Her parent’s marriage crumbled which left Lena Horne being raised by her paternal grandparents. Her mother performed on stage in Harlem for several years and then returned to raise her daughter.

During the 1960s, Lena Horne became a leading voice in civil rights marches and protests. And while she continued to act in Hollywood, her main attraction was singing. For over a year she had her own Broadway show “Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music” which also awarded her a Tony and she continued to record well into the 1990s.

During an interview, Lena Horned accredited Billy Strayhorn for her assisting her with her singing achievements. She also revealed that the only man she had ever loved was Strayhorn who was also openly gay so nothing ever came of the relationship.

Lena Horne has many accomplishments to her name and many praise her for her early works during the Civil Rights Movement. When she was 80, Ms. Horne said “My identity is clear to me now. I am a black woman. I’m free.” It is clear with everything Lena Horne did in Hollywood, she was always true to the fans, true to her race, and true to herself.

It was only less than a month ago I attended Pace University CSA Concert and watched Dancehall Reggae Group Voicemail performance.. I went back stage and spoke with the group and got their contact information because Iw anted to get them to perform for a future show and now this tragic event took place.. -- O'Neil Edwards (seen on my left and the picture right of me) was reportedly shot several times in a robbery outside the entertainer's Duhaney Park home early this morning around 1am. Edwards was allegedly approached by unknown assailants and robbed at gunpoint as he was leaving his residence, then shot five times in the head, chest and side by the escaping gunmen. he is battling for his life as we speak

The singer was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery to remove bullets from his chest and abdomen, after which he will be transferred to the University Hospital for a CT scan and possible brain surgery.


Edwards' shooting is the latest incident in an escalating wave of violent crime, reminiscent of similar circumstances in January 2005 in which Voicemail mentor and labelmate Gerald 'Bogle' Levy was killed in an early morning shooting. Edwards recently became father of a one-month-old baby girl.

I said I wasn't going to comment on the recent revocation of the some of the top dance-hall artists of my homeland Jamaica because my opinion would be deemed somewhat bias.. But for over a week and a half of investigating all the information being put forth by both governments, I'm breaking my silence because of what the United States are doing and how they are going about this is making me raise my uni-brow eyebrows..

“I couldn't believe that the Jamaican or U.S. governments would violate the privacy rights of citizens and publish their legal names, their birth dates, their actual Jamaican passport numbers and their U.S. Visa Control numbers, I did not believe it,” these are the words of another well known artist Jah Cure.

The actions of the United States is being prompted because of the lack of co-operation of the Jamaican government in the extradition of Christopher "Dudus" Coke, apparent leader of the Shower Posse that his father once ruled in the 1980's...The United States is basically trying to stifle Jamaica's economy to the point where they break and that I don't agree with because not only is the country going to suffer as a result but so will Jamaican born residents of the U.S. and promoters who look forward to see these performers each yea

Bounty Killer - The Alliance 5 Star General Arrested

Dancehall artist, Bounty Killer, was arrested at his home in Jamaica on Monday, April 5, after assaulting his girlfriend of three years.

According to reports, Bounty Killer, born Rodney Price, was arrested by Jamaica's St. Andrew North Police and still remains in custody. Police officials reportedly revealed that Price used his one phone call at the station to reach his ex-girlfriend and threaten her life. A local judge refused to grant bail, forcing Price to remain in custody until his court date this Wednesday (April 7). In addition to the new assault case, he is still battling previous charges, which include illegal possession of a firearm, marijuana possession and unlawful wounding and assault.

Bounty Killer's new legal troubles come on the heels of the U.S. Government's move to revoke work visas for five dancehall artists including Beenie Man, Mavado and Bounty Killer himself. Although the reason for the canceled visas is not clear, airlines have been warned not to allow the artists to board flights to the U.S., forcing them to cancel several shows in the Florida region. Bounty Killer made headlines last July when he was arrested for assaulting a police officer two years prior. The dancehall rapper is best known in the U.S. for his album 'My Xperience' as well as his collaboration with No Doubt on their single 'Hey Baby.'

I have been an avid watcher of this hit mini-series for 8 seaasons including this present one Ive been a fan of Keifer Sutherland who plays "Jack Bauer" and his CTU counterparts.... From death defying stunts, to near death experiences, from counter intelligence maneuvers and finding moles in their Unit, 24 have left audiences on the edge of their seats episode after episode. The anxiety thats sets in for 1 week at times gets a bit unbearable just yearning for the upcoming episode and I myself speak from experience..24 will be greatly missed but reports are that a movie is in the works so cheer up fans even though a mere 3 hour film may not suffice for a season of excitement...
The show was cancelled amid rumors of behind the scenes friction on the set and with its rating down in comparison to previous years, the cancellation vibrations could have been felt...
